How do I record a harvest?

Log each animal you harvest in your personal logbook: species, weight, shot location, the day's conditions and a photo. Your harvests feed your harvest record. ## On mobile ### Recording a harvest 1. **Hunts** tab, tap **Trophies**. 2. Tap **＋** at the top of the screen. 3. Choose the **Species**, required. If it has subspecies, the **Sex** and **Age estimate** fields disappear: you can then choose a subspecies, or leave **All**. 4. Fill in the **Weight** in kg. 5. Fill in **When**: the date, plus a time if you tap **Add**. 6. Tap **Set the shot location**. The map opens. 7. Move the map to the shooter. 8. Tap **Place the shooter**. 9. Move the map to the animal. 10. Tap **Place the animal**. 11. Tap **Confirm the location**. The shot distance is calculated automatically. 12. In the "Hunting conditions" section, tap **Sync** to get the weather and wind at the shot location. The moon phase fills in from the date. 13. Optional: add a **Trophy photo** and a **Memory · story**. 14. Optional: in **Attach to**, tap **Event** to choose a hunt. The hunting ground is then inherited from the hunt. 15. Optional: turn on **Mark as trophy**. If the harvest is weighed, it can appear in the **Record** tile on the Trophies screen (see "Good to know"), and it has a star in its species list. 16. Tap **Add** to publish the harvest, or **Save as draft** to complete it later. ### Starting from a past hunt 1. **Hunts** tab, **Past** tab. 2. Under the hunt in question, tap **Record a harvest**. The form opens with the hunt already attached. ### Logging your harvest from the hunt page 1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab or **Summary** tab. 2. In the "To do" card, tap **Logbook** under "Log your harvest for the day". The card appears if all these conditions are met: - Your attendance is confirmed, or your presence has been recorded. - The hunt isn't cancelled. - You haven't logged any harvest for this hunt. A draft counts as a logged harvest. - It is the day of the hunt, once the live hunt has ended, or the day after the hunt. If a payment is requested from you, the payment card comes first. Available from version 4.2.5 of the app. ### Editing or deleting a harvest 1. **Hunts** tab, tap **Trophies**. 2. Under "By species", tap a species card. A species with a single harvest opens that harvest. 3. For a species with several harvests, the list of its harvests opens. Tap the harvest you want. 4. Tap the **⋯** menu at the top of the screen. 5. To edit, tap **Edit**, change the fields you want, then tap **Save**. 6. To delete, tap **Delete**, then **Delete** in the "Delete this harvest?" window. Another way: the **Record** tile opens your heaviest trophy of the season shown directly. You can only tap it if a harvest marked as a trophy for that season has a weight. ## On the web ### Recording a harvest 1. **My trophies** menu, click **Record a harvest** (same button if your record is still empty). 2. "The animal" section: choose the **Species**, required. 3. Choose the **Subspecies** if the species has any, otherwise the **Sex** and the **Age estimate**. 4. Fill in the **Weight** in kg, the **Date**, required, and the **Time**. 5. "Shot location" section: click the map to place the shooter. 6. Click the map to place the animal. The shot distance appears, and weather, wind, altitude and moon fill in automatically. 7. Optional: add a **Trophy photo** and a **Memory · story**. 8. Optional: in **Attach to**, choose an **Event**. The **Hunting ground** is then inherited from the hunt. 9. Optional: turn on **Mark as trophy** to highlight the harvest with a star in the harvest record. 10. Click **Add** to publish the harvest, or **Save as draft**. ### Editing or deleting a harvest 1. **My trophies** menu. 2. Click the harvest. 3. To edit, click **Edit** at the top of the page, change the fields you want, then click **Save**. 4. To delete, click **Delete** at the top of the page, then **Delete** in the "Delete this harvest?" window. ## Good to know - Your logbook is personal. Only you can see it, unless you create a sharing link. - A logbook harvest doesn't count towards the hunting ground's harvest plan counters. Those counters follow game reports and their tags. - On mobile, the species is required to publish a harvest, but not for a draft. - On the web, the species and the date are required to publish a harvest, but not for a draft. - A draft doesn't count in the statistics. - Your drafts are listed in the "Drafts" section of your trophies. - On mobile, to publish a draft, open it, complete it, then tap **Publish**. - On the web, to publish a draft, open it, complete it, then click **Publish**. - On mobile, the **Record** tile on the Trophies screen shows the heaviest of your harvests marked as trophies for the season shown at the top of the screen. For the season, tap the season selector. **All seasons** counts all your harvests. - On mobile, when you create a harvest with a photo, the harvest is sent in the background: it appears once the photo is uploaded, and waits for the network to come back if you were out of coverage. - Deleting a harvest is permanent. ## Troubleshooting - "The weather stays empty" on mobile: place at least the shooter or the animal on the map, then tap **Sync**. Without a position, the message "Place at least one pin on the map to get the weather." appears. - "The weather stays empty" on the web: place the animal on the map. - "Weather not available for this date." on mobile: no data could be retrieved for that day (no data, or service unreachable). Try again later. The rest of the harvest saves normally. - "The Add button is greyed out" on mobile: the species isn't chosen. Choose it, or save the harvest as a draft. - "The Add button is greyed out" on the web: the species isn't chosen, or the date is empty. Fill them in, or save the harvest as a draft. - "I can't find my harvest" on mobile: check the season shown in your trophies, and that the harvest isn't still a draft.
