Choose what you receive by email and by notification, overall and then hunting ground by hunting ground. You can silence a hunting ground that sends too much without losing the rest.
## On mobile
### Opening your settings
1. **Account** tab, tap **Notifications**.
2. **Communication channels** section: the **Email notifications** and **Push notifications** switches.
3. **By hunting ground** section: for each hunting ground, **Emails from this hunting ground** and **Push from this hunting ground**. This section only appears if you belong to at least one hunting ground.
4. **Offers & news** section: **News and updates**, and **Notify me of upcoming webinars**.
Each switch applies right away, with no button to confirm.
### Allowing notifications on the phone
1. **Account** tab, tap **Notifications**.
2. If the "Push notifications turned off" banner appears, tap **Turn on push notifications** and accept the phone's request.
3. If you had already refused, the button is called **Open settings**: turn on notifications for Mes Chasses in your phone's settings.
4. If the banner says "Device not registered", tap **Try again**.
When everything is set up, the screen shows "Push notifications allowed on this device".
## On the web
1. Click your name at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
2. In the **Preferences** group, click **Notifications**. In a narrow window, this menu becomes a row of pills: click **Alerts**.
3. **Notifications** section: the **Email notifications** and **Push notifications** switches.
4. **By hunting ground** section: on each hunting ground's row, the switch with the envelope icon controls emails, the one with the phone icon controls notifications. This section only appears if you belong to at least one hunting ground.
5. **Communication** section: **Mes Chasses newsletter** for news, and **Notify me of upcoming webinars**.
Another way: open the bell at the top of the screen and click **Manage my notifications**, at the bottom of the panel.
## What always reaches you
An **Always sent** box lists what concerns a hunt you are taking part in:
- hunt invitations and reminders;
- reminders before a hunt;
- stand allocation;
- hunt changes and cancellations;
- removal from a hunt's participant list;
- reply to your registration request;
- payment requests, confirmations and refunds;
- alerts during a live hunt and blood tracking.
These messages arrive even if you turn off emails, notifications or a hunting ground. The list is the same on mobile and on the web.
## Good to know
- These settings are strictly personal. Neither your hunting ground's administrator nor the other members can see them.
- A hunting ground switch never makes up for a general switch that is off: both must be on.
- Turning off emails and notifications doesn't turn off the bell in the app: your notifications keep arriving there.
- A hunting ground setting applies to the emails and notifications linked to that hunting ground, except those in the **Always sent** list. On mobile, the label under **Emails from this hunting ground** mentions, for example, "New hunts, agenda, documents".
## Troubleshooting
- "I no longer receive notifications": a general switch, a hunting ground or the phone permission is off. Check **Email notifications** and **Push notifications**, then each hunting ground. On mobile, also check the permission in the phone's settings.
- "I get too many messages from one hunting ground": turn off only its two switches. On mobile, **Emails from this hunting ground** and **Push from this hunting ground**; on the web, the envelope and the phone on its row.
- "I receive nothing from this hunting ground even though both its switches are on": check the general switches, higher up on the screen. They take priority.
- "I don't see the By hunting ground section": it only appears if you belong to a hunting ground. Join one, then reopen the screen.
- "Couldn't load the settings for your hunting grounds." (mobile and web, **By hunting ground** section): the app couldn't read your settings, and it shows no switches rather than a wrong state. Your other settings can still be used. Tap or click **Try again** once the connection is back.
- "Couldn't load your notification settings." (mobile): reading the general switches failed. Tap **Try again**.
- "Setting not saved" (mobile): the change didn't go through and the switch went back. Check your connection and try again.
- "Error while saving." (web, switches in the **Notifications** section, and **Mes Chasses newsletter** in the **Communication** section) or "The setting couldn't be saved." (web, switches in the **By hunting ground** section): the change didn't go through and the switch went back. Check your connection and try again.
- "The action did not go through. Try again in a moment." (web and mobile, **Notify me of upcoming webinars** switch): the setting wasn't saved. Check your connection and try again.
