How do I use a hunt's page?

Last updated
In the mobile app, a hunt's page brings together everything you need to know and do to take part in it. It has three tabs: **Information**, **My stand** and **Summary**. Available from version 4.2.6 of the app. The page on the web is described in the "On the web" section. ## On mobile ### Open a hunt's page 1. Tap the **Hunts** tab. 2. Tap the hunt. The page opens on the **Information** tab. In the top right, a hunter has the **Calendar** button, to add the hunt to their calendar. The organiser has **Manage** and a **···** menu (live hunt, calendar) instead. ### Take part in a hunt 1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab. 2. In the "To do" card, tap **Take part**. 3. The "Confirm my attendance" sheet asks, depending on the hunt, for your dogs, your weapon, your meal and accepting the safety rules. Confirm. ### Decline a hunt 1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab. 2. In the "To do" card, tap **Decline**. 3. In the "Decline the invitation" sheet, write a reason if you want, in reply to "Add a reason? (optional)". 4. Tap **Decline the invitation**. The page shows "You declined". ### Change your reply 1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab. 2. In "My participation", tap **Edit**. 3. The "Confirm my attendance" sheet opens, whether you accepted or declined. Change your choices, then confirm. 4. To decline instead, use "I can't come after all", offered in the same sheet. ### Settle a payment 1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab. 2. In the "To do" card, tap **Pay**. 3. Follow the payment sheet. A donation or an optional stand is settled from "My participation". The details are in [How do I pay for my participation? (PAF)](article:how-do-i-pay-my-participation-participation-fee). ### Join a hunt that has started 1. On the day of the hunt, open it, **Information** tab. 2. When the organiser has started the hunt, tap **Join** in the "Driven hunt in progress" banner, or **Resume** in "Driven hunt paused". The banner shows if you have confirmed your attendance or if you are marked present. It also shows, without a registration, for the hunting ground's administrator, the managers, the hunt's creator and the members who have the "Edit all events" or "Run the live hunt" permission. ### Organiser: start the live hunt On the day of the hunt, the live hunt is started from the mobile app. Who can do it: the hunting ground's administrator, the managers, the hunt's creator and the members who have the "Edit all events" or "Run the live hunt" permission. 1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab. 2. In "Ready to start", tap **Start**. The live hunt map opens. 3. Tap the purple button, on the side of the map. 4. In "Organiser controls", tap **Start the hunt**. A member who only has the "Run the live hunt" permission has neither **Manage** nor a **···** menu: they start from the "Ready to start" banner on the **Information** tab. ### Organiser: start the live hunt from the ··· menu This path is reserved for whoever can edit the hunt: the hunting ground's administrator, the managers, the hunt's creator and the members who have the "Edit all events" permission. 1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab. 2. In the top right, tap the **···** menu, then **Start the live hunt**. The live hunt map opens, but the hunt isn't started yet. 3. Tap the purple button, on the side of the map. 4. In "Organiser controls", tap **Start the hunt**. The details are in [How do I run a live hunt?](article:how-do-i-start-a-live-hunt). ### Find a drive's map Available from version 4.2.9 of the app. 1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab. 2. "Organisation" section, tap **Maps**. In an older version, the drive maps are in the **My stand** tab. ### Replay a hunt's route 1. Open the hunt, then tap the **Summary** tab. 2. Under "My route", tap **Replay**. 3. Tap **Hide** to close the replay. ## On the web A hunt's page also exists on the web. It has no tabs: everything shows on a single page. The live hunt is started and followed only in the mobile app. ### Open a hunt's page on the web 1. Click **Mes Chasses** in the menu. 2. Click the hunt. The organiser has the **Manage the event** button at the top of the page. ### Take part in a hunt on the web 1. Open the hunt. At the top of the page, the "Are you taking part?" box offers **I decline** and **I'm taking part**. 2. Click **I'm taking part**. The "Confirm my attendance" box opens. 3. If the hunt accepts dogs, set their number with **−** and **+**. If you have dog records, tick yours under "Which ones are yours?" (optional). 4. In "Weapon used", click the weapon you are taking. Only your weapons from **My weapons** that the organiser allows are offered. For a shotgun, also choose **Slug** or **Buckshot** when the hunt allows both. If you have no weapon saved, just pick a type. 5. If a meal is offered, tick **I'm staying for the meal**. For a paid meal that accepts several methods: choose **Card online** or **Cash on site**. 6. If the hunting ground has safety rules, click **Safety rules** to show them, then tick "I have read and understood the safety rules (required)". Without this box, the confirmation button stays greyed out. 7. Click **Confirm my attendance**. The message "Response saved" appears, then the page shows "You're taking part". If you chose **Card online** for the meal, online payment opens next. The details are in [How do I pay for my participation? (PAF)](article:how-do-i-pay-my-participation-participation-fee). ### Decline a hunt on the web 1. Open the hunt. In the "Are you taking part?" box, click **I decline**. 2. If you want, write a note to the organiser in **Reason (optional)**. 3. Click **Decline the invitation**. The page shows "You declined". ### Change your reply on the web 1. Open the hunt. In the "You're taking part" or "You declined" box, click **Edit**. 2. To take part, click **I'm taking part**. The "Confirm my attendance" box opens: fill in the dogs, the weapon, the meal and the safety rules, then click **Confirm my attendance**. 3. To decline, click **I decline**. If you want, write a note in **Reason (optional)**, then click **Decline the invitation**. The **Edit** button only exists while registration is open and the hunt isn't cancelled. ### What the page shows on the web - Left column: your reply, your payments once your attendance is confirmed, "My stands", "My guests". - Right column: "On site" (place, **Go there** button, date, time, weather and wind), "Details" (hunt leader, weapons, guests, dogs) and "Organisation" (drive maps, horn calls, radios). - In "Details", the "Weapons" line lists the allowed weapons, or shows "All allowed" if the organiser hasn't restricted any weapon. - "Safety and instructions" brings together the safety rules and your drives' instructions. It unfolds with a click. - **Attendance sheet** opens the attendance list as a PDF, for a hunt linked to a hunting ground. The organiser, the administrator and the manager of the hunting ground always see it, unless the hunt is cancelled. A participant only sees it on the day of the hunt, once their attendance is confirmed or their check-in is done, and if the hunting ground has allowed it in its settings. - As long as you haven't replied, "Organisation" shows "The drive maps and instructions will be visible once your attendance is confirmed." - When registration is closed and you haven't replied, the box shows "Registration closed", with no button. ## What the page shows on mobile ### The Information tab From top to bottom: - the "To do" card: one action at a time, the most urgent; - "My stand: …" or "My line: …", on the day of the hunt, if a place is assigned to you. Tap it to open the **My stand** tab; - "My participation": your reply ("You're taking part" or "You declined"), the **Edit** button, then your payments; - "On site": the meeting point, the **Go there** button and the weather; - "My guests": the guests you are bringing; - "Day's harvest plan": each species with the hunt's harvest ("0 / 8 harvested", or "Outside the plan") and the number of blasts in its horn call ("5 blasts", or "No horn call"); - "Organisation", in alphabetical order: **Maps**, **Documents**, the hound team, **Radios**, the hunt leader, **Safety and instructions** and **Horn calls**, when the organiser has filled them in. **Attendance sheet** opens the attendance list as a PDF, to be signed on site. It only exists for a hunt linked to a hunting ground, and doesn't depend on any entry by the organiser. - The hunt's organiser, the administrator and the manager of the hunting ground always see it. - A participant only sees it on the day of the hunt, once their attendance is confirmed or their check-in is done, and if the hunting ground has allowed it in its settings. A cancelled hunt no longer has a sheet. In "Organisation", the **Safety and instructions** line is available from version 4.2.9 of the app, and the hunt leader from version 4.2.8. ### The To do card It offers, depending on the moment: - "Are you taking part?", with **Decline** and **Take part**; - a payment to settle, for example "Meal: €25 to settle", with **Pay**; - on the day of the live hunt: "Driven hunt in progress" with **Join**, or "Driven hunt paused" with **Resume**; - "Log your harvest for the day", with **Logbook**. When there's nothing to do, it disappears. It doesn't appear on a cancelled hunt, which carries the "Event cancelled" banner. ### The My stand tab It shows: - "My group": your group, its hunters and its leader, if you have one; - "My line": one row per drive where your group holds a shooting line. Tap it to open the drive's map; - your stand's map (**View my stand on the map**) and the list of your stands. "My group" and "My line" are available from version 4.2.9 of the app. Without a stand, a line or a group, it shows "Your place (stand or line) will be given to you by the organiser." ### The Summary tab It appears from the day of the hunt, never for a cancelled hunt. From top to bottom: - the "Log your harvest for the day" card, when it applies; - the "Harvest record": the number of harvests, with "day in progress" on the day of the hunt, then "day over" on the following days; - the "Hunt journal": the harvests, with the time and the shooter, or "No harvest recorded"; - "My route": your GPS track and the kilometres covered. The **Replay** button, under "My route", replays the hunt. ## Good to know - Before your reply, the "To do" card shows the amounts expected, with "To be settled after your confirmation.". The payments appear in "My participation" once your attendance is confirmed. - On mobile, **Edit** lets you go from "You're taking part" to "You declined". The reverse is only possible while registration is open. Once marked present on site, the reply can no longer change. - On the web, **Edit** disappears as soon as registration is closed, whether you accepted or declined. - On mobile, without a reply, if registration is closed or the hunt is past, the page says so ("Registration is closed.", "This hunt is past.") with no button. - The weapon is chosen from those the organiser has allowed for the hunt. Without any restriction from them, the sheet offers, on mobile, Rifle, Shotgun, Buckshot and Bow. On the web, it offers these four weapons and Unarmed. - On the web, the weapon offered by default is the one already chosen for this hunt, otherwise the one from your last hunt on the estate, otherwise your default weapon, if the organiser allows it. The organiser only sees the type and calibre of the weapon, never its name or photo. See [How do I manage my weapons?](article:how-do-i-manage-my-weapons). - "My guests" appears once your attendance is confirmed, if your role allows you to bring guests or if you already have some. Your role's rule is recalled there, for example "1 guest of 2 allowed · unarmed only". Without a limit (hunting ground administrator or manager, organiser of a hunt with no hunting ground), no rule shows on mobile, and the "My guests" header shows "Unlimited guests" on the web. See [How do I bring an armed or unarmed guest?](article:how-do-i-bring-an-armed-or-unarmed-guest). - The drive maps and instructions only show once your attendance is confirmed. As long as you haven't replied, the page shows "The drive maps and instructions will be visible once your attendance is confirmed." - "Log your harvest for the day" appears after the live hunt ends, then the next day, if you came, if no payment is still to be settled and if you haven't logged any harvest for this hunt. **Logbook** opens a harvest already linked to the hunt. See [How do I record a harvest?](article:how-do-i-record-a-harvest). - On mobile, on a cancelled hunt, only the payments already made stay shown, with their receipt or their refund. No button lets you pay any more. ## If something goes wrong - "I don't see the Summary tab": it appears on the day of the hunt, and doesn't exist for a cancelled hunt. - "I don't see Take part": you have already replied (tap **Edit**), registration is closed, or the hunt is past or cancelled. On the day of the hunt, if you can run the live hunt, the live hunt banner shows instead of "Are you taking part?". - "I don't see I'm taking part on the web": you have already replied (click **Edit**), registration is closed, or the hunt is cancelled. - "My weapon isn't offered": the organiser hasn't allowed it for this hunt. Ask them to change the allowed weapons. - "I no longer see Edit on mobile": you are marked present, the hunt is past or cancelled, or registration is closed and you had declined. - "I no longer see Edit on the web": registration is closed, or the hunt is cancelled. - "I don't see My guests": you haven't confirmed your attendance, or your role doesn't allow a guest on this hunt. - "I don't see Replay": the hunt isn't over and its day hasn't passed, or you were neither confirmed nor present. - "I don't see the My stand shortcut": it only appears on the day of the hunt, if a place is assigned to you. If your group holds a line, it is called "My line: …". - "I can no longer find the Logbook, Replay or My guests tabs": version 4.2.6 replaced them. The harvests are in the **Summary** tab, **Replay** under "My route", and "My guests" in the **Information** tab. - "I don't see the maps in the Information tab": your app is older than version 4.2.9. Update it, or go through the **My stand** tab. - "I don't see Attendance sheet": the hunt isn't linked to a hunting ground, and the entry then exists for no one. On a hunting ground hunt, a participant only sees it on the day of the hunt, once their attendance is confirmed or their check-in is done, and if the hunting ground has allowed it. Otherwise, ask the organiser for the sheet. The organiser, the administrator and the manager of the hunting ground always see it, unless the hunt is cancelled. ## See also - [How do I manage replies to a hunt?](article:how-do-i-manage-replies-to-a-hunt) - [How do I pay for my participation?
