How do I complete my profile? (welcome flow)

When you first sign in, Mes Chasses guides you through entering your identity and licence. On the web, the flow also asks your role and, if you are an organiser, creates your first hunting ground. The flow appears automatically until your profile is complete. You need an account and a confirmed email address. ## On mobile The flow fits on a single welcome screen. It shows "Welcome" followed by your first name when your first and last name are already known. 1. Enter your first and last name, if asked. 2. Enter your **Phone** (optional). 3. If you have your licence with you, tap **Scan my licence** (optional). 4. Indicate, if you wish, how you heard about Mes Chasses (optional). 5. Tap **Get started**. You arrive on the **Home** tab. No hunting ground is created on mobile. ### Skip this step Tap **Skip this step** at the bottom of the screen. Your phone number is kept, along with your licence if it has already been scanned. The first and last name entered on this screen, and your answer about how you heard about Mes Chasses, aren't saved. The screen won't reappear: you then complete your profile from the **Account** tab. ## On the web The flow has up to seven steps. A counter "Step N of 7" appears at the top, with the step name. The first four steps are the same for everyone. What follows depends on the role chosen at the "Your role" step. ### Common steps: from discovery to choosing your role 1. "Discovery" step: choose how you heard about Mes Chasses, then click **Continue**, or **Skip**. 2. "Profile" step: fill in **First name** and **Last name**, then click **Next**. **Phone** is optional. If your first or last name is already known (signing up with Google or Apple, for example), this step is skipped. 3. "Hunting licence" step (optional): choose **Scan my licence** or **Enter manually**, or click **Next** to skip. 4. "Your role" step: choose **Hunter** or **Organiser**, then click **Next**. ### Hunter: finishing the flow 1. After the "Your role" step, you go straight to the "Summary" step (step seven of seven). 2. Check your choices, then click **Finish**. You arrive on the **Hunting grounds** page, or on the page you wanted to open before the flow. No hunting ground is created. ### Organiser: creating your first hunting ground 1. After the "Your role" step, "Hunting ground" step: fill in **Hunting ground name**, **Address**, **Hunting ground country** (suggested from the address) and **Hunting ground type**, then click **Next**. 2. "Your needs" step: indicate why you need Mes Chasses (multiple answers allowed), then click **Continue**, or **Skip**. 3. "Summary" step: check your choices, then click **Finish**. Your first hunting ground is created and you become its administrator. You arrive on the **Hunting grounds** page, or on the page you wanted to open before the flow. ## Good to know - Your name is visible to organisers who invite you. Your licence is sent to them with each registration. - The hunting ground area isn't asked during the flow: it is entered later, in the hunting ground settings. - The role chosen on the web isn't saved: it is only used to offer the creation of a hunting ground. ## Troubleshooting - "The Get started button stays greyed out" (mobile): first and last name are required when they are asked. - "The Next button is greyed out at the Profile step" (web): first and last name are required. Fill them in. - "The Next button is greyed out at the Your role step" (web): no role is chosen. Choose **Hunter** or **Organiser**. - "The Next button is greyed out at the Hunting ground step" (web): the hunting ground name, address and type are required. Fill them in. - "The Continue button is greyed out at the Discovery and Your needs steps" (web): no answer is chosen. Choose an answer, or click **Skip**. - "Your profile could not be saved. Check your connection and try again." (mobile): saving didn't complete.
