How do I manage my weapons?

Register your weapons once, then pick the one you take on each hunt. Your armoury is private: you are the only one who sees it. ## On mobile My weapons is coming to mobile with the next app update. In the meantime, it is already available on the web. ### Open the list 1. **Account** tab, then tap **My weapons**. ### Add a weapon 1. In the list, tap the **+** button at the top of the screen. 2. The "Add a weapon" sheet opens. Fill in the **Name** (for example "Browning Bar"). 3. Choose the **Category**: Rifle, Shotgun, Combination gun or Bow. If you choose Bow, the notice "Allowed in France only" appears. 4. A **Specific type** field appears once the category is chosen. It is optional. For a rifle: bolt action, semi-automatic, lever action, pump action, single shot break action or express. For a shotgun: over and under, side by side, semi-automatic, pump action or single shot break action. For a combination gun: combination gun, drilling or vierling. For a bow: compound, recurve or longbow. 5. Fill in the **Calibre** if you wish. 6. Add **Notes** if needed (scope, settings). The form reminds you: "Do not write down the serial number." 7. Tick **Default weapon** so it is offered first when you respond to a hunt. 8. Tap **Save**. ### Add a photo 1. From the weapon page or the edit form, tap **Add photo** (or **Change photo** if one already exists). 2. Choose an image. Below the button: "Visible to you only". To remove the photo, tap **Remove photo** in the edit form. ### Edit a weapon 1. In the list, tap the weapon card to open its page. 2. Tap **Edit** at the bottom of the page. The edit sheet opens with the same fields as when adding. 3. Change what you need, then tap **Save**. ### Delete a weapon 1. Open the weapon page. 2. Tap **Delete weapon**, then confirm. The weapon won't be offered any more, but it stays visible in the history of your hunts and harvests. ### Pick a weapon for a hunt 1. When you respond to a hunt, the **My weapon** section appears. 2. Tap the weapon you are taking. Only your weapons allowed by the organiser are offered. The others stay visible but greyed out, with the reason. 3. If you are taking a shotgun and the hunt allows buckshot, you can specify the ammunition: **Slug** or **Buckshot**. 4. The notice at the bottom tells you what the organiser will see: the type and the calibre. The weapon's name and photo stay private. If your armoury is empty, an **Add my weapons** button takes you straight to the list. ## On the web ### Open the list **My weapons** is in the left-hand menu (between "My dogs" and "My account"). The page shows your weapons with the same cards as on mobile. You can also get there from your profile: click your name at the bottom of the menu ("My account"), "Hunting" section, then **My weapons**. ### Add a weapon 1. Click **Add a weapon**. 2. Fill in the same fields as on mobile: **Weapon name**, **Type** (Rifle, Shotgun, Combination gun, Bow), **Precise type** (optional, appears when the type is chosen), **Calibre**, **Notes**. 3. Tick **Default weapon** if you wish. 4. Click **Save**. You can add a photo once the weapon is saved: open its card and click **Add a photo** (or **Change photo**). ### Edit a weapon 1. Click the weapon card. 2. Change the fields, then click **Save**. ### Delete a weapon 1. Click the weapon card. 2. Click **Delete**, then confirm. The weapon disappears from the choices but stays in the history. ### Pick a weapon for a hunt 1. When you respond to a hunt, the **Weapon used** section appears. 2. Select your weapon from those allowed by the organiser. 3. If you are taking a shotgun and buckshot is allowed, choose the load: **Slug** or **Buckshot**. 4. The "The organiser will see" notice shows you what is passed on. If you have no weapon or none is allowed, you can indicate a weapon type without going through your list. An **Add my weapons** link opens the armoury page. ## Good to know - Mes Chasses never asks for the serial number, the legal category or the SIA number of your firearms. - You are the only one who sees your list of weapons, the names you give them and their photos. - A hunt organiser only sees the weapon type (rifle, shotgun, combination gun or bow) and the calibre you pick for that hunt. - The weapon you pick for a hunt carries over to the harvest in your logbook, then to the trophy. - When you delete a weapon, it stays readable in the history (past hunts, harvests, trophies). The card shows the "Deleted" label. - The default weapon is the one offered first when you respond to a hunt. You can have only one at a time. - The "Where it was used" section on the weapon page counts the hunts, harvests and trophies linked to it. - Your weapons sync between mobile and the web. ## See also - [How do I manage my account?
