You can connect your Mes Chasses account to your AI assistant, then ask it in plain language to handle the organisation: create a hunting ground, prepare a hunt, invite a list of people, see who has replied, send reminders, check licences. Claude and ChatGPT are available.
The assistant works with your permissions, no more and no less than in the app. Before anything goes out to real people, it shows you a summary and waits for your approval.
## What the assistant can do
Hunting grounds:
- list your hunting grounds, with your role, their plan and, if you are administrator or manager, the number of hunts this month and of members;
- create a hunting ground, in France or in Belgium (you become its administrator). The map and boundaries are drawn afterwards in the app: the assistant doesn't draw.
Hunts and invitations:
- list your upcoming hunts;
- create a hunt as a draft (date, time, title, meeting point written in full). The draft is only visible to you, the administrator and the managers of the hunting ground, and notifies nobody. The location is searched on a map: check it is the right place;
- publish a draft. The assistant first tells you whether the hunting ground's members will be notified: yes for the first publication of an upcoming hunt, no for a republication and no for a hunt whose start time has passed. It also warns you that invitations already added will be sent;
- invite a list of people that you paste as is, up to 200 at a time, to a hunt or hunting ground. For a hunt still in draft, invitations are sent when the hunt is published. For a hunting ground, people are added to the hunting ground's address book. New people with an email also receive an invitation by email to join the app. People already in your address book or in the hunting ground's are added without an email. The hunting ground's plan member limit applies.
Responses and reminders:
- see who has responded: attending, pending, absent, along with the host of each guest and the meal choice;
- remind people who haven't responded, by email or notification. A hunt in draft, cancelled or past can't be reminded.
Licences:
- check the licences of those registered whose attendance is confirmed or who are present: how many are valid, how many are expiring soon, how many have issues, and for each person concerned the status and, when you are allowed to read them, the validation and insurance end dates (see "Privacy"). Guests and registered people without a weapon aren't checked. This check is reserved for the hunt's creator, the administrator and the managers of the hunting ground;
- remind those who need to complete their documents, by email or notification with a link. A person is only reminded once per 24 hours.
Plan:
- see a hunting ground's plan. Its limits and the paid plans offered are only shown to the administrator and the managers of the hunting ground;
- upgrade a hunting ground from the Discovery plan to Standard or Premium, on annual billing: the assistant gives you a Stripe payment link. Only the administrator of the hunting ground can request this. Nothing is charged until you pay on that page yourself.
The assistant doesn't delete or cancel a hunt, doesn't change an existing hunt, doesn't validate any licence on your behalf and doesn't pay anything.
## Connecting Claude
The connector address is `https://mcp.meschasses.com/mcp`.
1. On claude.ai, open **Customize**, then **Connectors**.
2. Click **Add**, then **Add custom connector**.
3. Give it a name (for example, "Mes Chasses") and paste the address above. Click **Continue**.
4. Keep the connection settings that Claude detects, then click **Add**.
5. Click **Connect** to go to the Mes Chasses authorisation page (see "The authorisation page").
6. In a conversation, use the "+" button at the bottom left, then **Connectors**, and enable Mes Chasses.
The exact labels may vary depending on your language and Claude version. Claude's free plan accepts only one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an organisation owner adds the connector, then each person clicks **Connect**.
## Connecting ChatGPT
1. Open [chatgpt.com/plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins).
2. Click the "+" button, then **Add custom MCP server**.
3. Give it a name and paste `https://mcp.meschasses.com/mcp` as the server address, with /mcp at the end.
4. For authentication, choose account sign-in (OAuth), not no authentication.
5. Read the warning, click **I understand and want to continue**, then **Create as a plugin**.
6. Install the created connector, open a new conversation, type @ and choose Mes Chasses.
7. Go through the Mes Chasses authorisation page (see "The authorisation page").
This feature depends on your ChatGPT account. Depending on the plan, and on a Business or Enterprise plan depending on the workspace rules, adding a custom server may not be available: in that case the button doesn't appear, or an administrator must enable it.
## The authorisation page
On first connection, the assistant opens a Mes Chasses page.
1. If you aren't signed in, sign in now. You can also create your account at this step.
2. Check the assistant's name and the site you will be returned to. Claude and ChatGPT are marked "Known assistant". An unknown address shows a warning: only authorise it if you have just started this connection from an assistant you trust.
3. Read what the assistant will be able to do: view your hunting grounds, hunts, guests and the status of their licences; prepare draft hunts and invitations; and send invitations and reminders or publish a hunt, only after your confirmation.
4. Click **Allow** (or **Deny**). You return to your assistant.
## How a send works
For anything that goes out to other people (invitations, reminders, publishing a hunt), the assistant works in two steps.
1. It prepares the operation and shows you a summary: who will be contacted, how many people, what will be sent.
2. You reply "yes" or make corrections. Only then does it send.
Your approval applies to that precise summary, for 15 minutes, and once only. After that time, or if you change the list, the assistant prepares a new summary. A send can't be reversed.
## Removing access
You can remove access at any time. This is done only on the website, not in the mobile app.
1. Click your name at the bottom of the menu ("My account"), then, in the account menu, **Sign-in and security** ("Security" group).
2. In the "Connected AI assistants" section, find the assistant. When it has been authorised several times, its line shows for example "2 accesses · last on" followed by a date.
3. Click **Revoke**, or **Revoke all** if the line groups several accesses.
4. Confirm.
The assistant can no longer do anything on your account. To reconnect it, start the connection again from the assistant. You can also delete the connector on the Claude or ChatGPT side, but it is the revocation within Mes Chasses that removes access.
## Example phrases to say to the assistant
- "What are my hunting grounds?"
- "Create a hunting ground called Bois des Loups, in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, France."
- "Prepare a wild boar driven hunt on Saturday 14 November at 8:30, meeting point at the Ferme des Pins, on my Saint-Dié hunting ground."
- "Here is the list of the society's members; I'm pasting it: invite them to Saturday's hunt."
- "Who has not responded yet for Saturday? Remind them."
- "Publish Saturday's hunt."
- "Are the licences in order for Saturday's driven hunt? Remind those who are missing."
- "What is the plan of my Saint-Dié hunting ground? Move me to the higher plan."
## Privacy
- The assistant only has your permissions. It can't do anything the app would forbid you. Creating a hunt depends on your role and the hunting ground's permissions. Publishing a hunt, inviting people to it and sending reminders for responses require being able to edit that hunt: having created it, being the administrator or a manager of the hunting ground, or having the **Edit all events** permission. Checking licences and sending licence reminders require more: being the hunt's creator, the administrator or a manager of the hunting ground. The **Edit all events** permission is not enough. Roles are explained in [Roles and permissions](article:roles-and-permissions).
- People's contact details are never transmitted in clear text to the assistant. It sees an email like j***@domain.tld (first letter and domain) and a phone number where only the last two digits appear.
- It never receives a licence number, photo, postal address or date of birth. For licences, it sees each concerned person's status and the validation and insurance end dates, never the number or the documents. The dates are shown or hidden depending on your role and the person being checked. For an active member of the hunting ground, the administrator and the managers see the dates with no time limit. For everyone else (a guest, for example), and for a hunt's creator who is neither administrator nor manager, these details are hidden after the end of the day after the hunt (Paris time): only "compliant or not" remains. Before the day of the hunt, the dates of a person whose attendance was confirmed on their behalf by the organisation are not readable either.
- Your own profile is the only exception: the assistant knows your first name, last name, language and email, which are yours.
- What you write to the assistant yourself, for example a list of people pasted into the conversation, is transmitted to it. That conversation remains subject to Claude's or ChatGPT's rules.
- No send without your confirmation, and a confirmation only works once.
## Troubleshooting
- "The connector does not connect": check the address `https://mcp.meschasses.com/mcp`, with no space or extra character, then try the connection again.
- "The assistant says the hunt or member limit is reached": these are the limits of the hunting ground's plan, the same as in the app. Ask the assistant to show you the plans, or see [Plans and quotas](article:plans-and-quotas).
- "The assistant says it does not have the right": it applies your permissions on that hunting ground. To publish a hunt, invite people to it or send reminders, you must be able to edit that hunt: having created it, being the administrator or a manager of the hunting ground, or having the **Edit all events** permission.
- "I cannot see a licence's dates": the details are hidden for that person depending on your role and the hunt's date (see "Privacy"). The assistant then only gives "compliant or not". A hidden licence is not a missing licence.
- "The assistant refuses to check licences or send licence reminders": you must be the hunt's creator, the administrator or a manager of the hunting ground. The **Edit all events** permission doesn't grant this right.
- "A licence does not appear as compliant": the assistant doesn't validate it. See [How do I manage a member's licence?](article:how-do-i-manage-a-members-hunting-licence).
- "The assistant does not give a payment link for an already-subscribed hunting ground": changing plan is done in the app, in the Subscription section of the hunting ground (administrator only).
