Create the fixed stands of your hunting ground (high seats, ground stands, hides, pigeon hides (palombières), earth bank stands) to find them on your maps and assign hunters to them at each hunt.
You must be administrator or manager of the hunting ground, or a member with the "Manage stands" permission, which the administrator can grant you.

## Good to know
- On mobile, the **Stands** sub-page has two views. A **List** / **Map** toggle is at the top of the page, on the left.
- On mobile, the **Map** view opens framed on the hunting ground boundary and on the stands with a GPS position. A stand with no position doesn't appear on it.
- On the web, the **Stands** sub-page has two views. Two icons, list and map, are at the top of the page, on the right. The table gives each stand's name, type, description, coordinates ("Not placed" if none) and status.
- The hunting ground's stands are reused at each hunt. They are visible, on maps and at placement time, to the administrator, managers and members with the "View stands" permission.
- On the web, a stand can't be saved without coordinates. On mobile, the GPS position is optional, but a stand without coordinates doesn't appear on any map and can't have a shooting sector.
- A stand has just one base name, the one in its record. In a hunt, it can have another name depending on the drive: "Stand 3 · Chêne du bas" in one, "Stand 12 · Chêne du bas" in another. This name is set in the drive; see [How do I create drives for my hunting ground?](article:how-do-i-create-drives-for-my-hunting-ground).
- A deactivated stand isn't offered when you place hunters. When you build a drive, a deactivated stand already in the drive stays visible, so you can remove it. Activation and deactivation are done on the web; on mobile, an inactive stand appears greyed out in the list.
- A stand can receive a shooting sector; see [How do I set a shooting sector for a stand?](article:how-do-i-set-a-shooting-sector-for-a-stand).
- Assigning hunters to stands is done in the hunt organisation; see [How do I place hunters with the guided flow?](article:how-do-i-place-hunters-with-the-guided-path).
- The information on a stand (ideal weapon, safety notes, position, shooting sector) is for information only. The decision to shoot remains the shooter's.
## If something goes wrong
- "A stand named '10' already exists in this hunting ground": two stands can't have the same number. Choose another one.
- "Number required" (mobile): the number is required. The full message is "Enter a stand number/name."
- "I can't save my stand on the web": the save buttons stay inactive until the stand has coordinates. Click on the map to place it.
- "Latitude between -90 and 90, longitude between -180 and 180." (web): the latitude or longitude entered manually is out of range, and the save buttons stay inactive. Correct the value, or click on the map to place the stand.
- "I don't see New stand, or the plus button on mobile": you are missing the "Manage stands" permission.
- "I see No stand located" (mobile, **Map** view): the hunting ground has stands, but none have a GPS position, and it has neither a boundary nor a meeting point to show. The screen says "Add the GPS coordinates of your stands to see them on the map.". Tap the stand in the list, then **Place the stand on the map**.
- "I see No stand" (mobile): the hunting ground has no stand. In the **Map** view, it has neither a boundary nor a meeting point either. The screen says "Add your stands with their GPS coordinates to find them on the map.". Create a stand with the steps in the "On mobile" section.
- "On the web, the Stands panel of the map has no Add button and the record won't save": you are missing the "Manage stands" permission. The panel is view-only. Ask the administrator for the permission.
- "On mobile, I tap a stand in the list and nothing opens": without the "Manage stands" permission, the list is view-only. Open the record from a map: tap the stand, then **View details**.
- "There is no Save button in a stand's record on mobile": the record is read-only, because you are missing the "Manage stands" permission. Ask the administrator.
