How do I receive my stand assignment by SMS or WhatsApp?

In your profile, you choose how to receive your hunting position (stand, shooting line or group): by WhatsApp, by SMS, or by email only. The position email is sent regardless. ## On mobile ### Choose how to receive your stand 1. **Account** tab, then tap the top card showing your photo, name and email. The "My profile" sheet opens. 2. Fill in your **Phone**. 3. Under **Receive my stand assignment by**, choose **WhatsApp**, **SMS** or **Email only**. 4. Tap **Save**. ### Stop WhatsApp 1. **Account** tab, then tap the top card showing your photo, name and email. The "My profile" sheet opens. 2. Under **Receive my stand assignment by**, choose **SMS** or **Email only**. 3. Tap **Save**. ## On the web ### Choose how to receive your stand 1. Click your name at the bottom of the menu ("My account"), then **Profile**. 2. Fill in your **Phone**. 3. Under **Receive my stand assignment by**, choose **WhatsApp**, **SMS** or **Email only**. 4. Click **Save changes**. ### Stop WhatsApp 1. Click your name at the bottom of the menu, then **Profile**. 2. Under **Receive my stand assignment by**, choose **SMS** or **Email only**. 3. Click **Save changes**. ## Good to know - Sending positions by WhatsApp and SMS isn't yet available: your positions arrive by email, free of charge. The choice you make remains saved in your profile. - A link is created for each hunter who has a stand or who belongs to a group in the hunt. If you don't have a stand and your group isn't holding any line that day, the page shows "Your position (stand or line) has not been assigned yet.": the email tells you your group and its leader. - Without a choice on your part, the saved choice for a mobile number is SMS. - A hunter whose registration is declined, or who is banned from the hunt, doesn't receive a link. - An email address shared by several participants receives the position email, but without the link: it is personal. - The position, line and route shown are for information only. The decision to shoot remains the shooter's. ### Consent for WhatsApp #### The consent text When you choose WhatsApp, a sentence appears below the choice: "I agree to receive my hunting stand from Mes Chasses on WhatsApp. I can stop at any time by replying STOP." When you save, you give this consent. #### Who can give consent Only you can give it. A number entered by an organiser only receives WhatsApp messages if the holder has given consent in their profile. Otherwise, the saved choice remains SMS. #### If you change your number If you change your number while keeping WhatsApp, consent applies to the new number, and the old number reverts to SMS. ### Which numbers are accepted You need a French or Belgian mobile number: - in France, a 06 or 07; - in Belgium, a 045 to 049. You can write it with or without spaces, or with the country code (+33, +32). When you save your channel choice, Mes Chasses formats the number internationally: 06 12 34 56 78 becomes +33612345678. Landlines and foreign numbers aren't accepted, nor French overseas mobiles starting with 06 (0639, 0690 to 0697). The **Email only** choice works without a number. ### The "See my stand on the map" link When the organiser sends out positions, the email contains a **See my stand on the map** button. It opens a personal page, without needing to sign in. It shows: - at the top, the hunt name, its date, the meeting time, the hunting ground name, and a greeting using your first name; - your position, highlighted on the map, with a choice of drive if you have a position in several drives: your stand, or the shooting line your group is holding, with its leader; - the other stands, without the hunters' names, and the other lines with the group and leader holding them; - below your stand, a **GPS directions** button; if the stand has no position on the map, the page shows "This stand does not have a position on the map yet." instead; - below "My line", when you are on a line, a **Directions to the start of the line** button; - a "My group" section, when you have a group and a drive exists: the group name, its colour and "Group leader:" followed by the leader's name; - an **Open in the app** button. This link is personal: don't forward it. It works until midnight on the day after the hunt. After that, the page shows "This link has expired" and you can find your hunts in the app. ## Troubleshooting - "Enter a French or Belgian mobile number to receive your stand by WhatsApp or SMS.": the number is empty while WhatsApp is chosen, or it isn't a French or Belgian mobile. Correct the number, or choose **Email only**. - "I receive neither SMS nor WhatsApp": sending by these two channels isn't yet available. Your positions arrive by email. - "This link is not valid": the link was probably copied incorrectly, or the hunt was cancelled or deleted, or the hunting ground is suspended, or your registration was declined. Reopen it from the email, or find the hunt in the app. - "Your choice could not be loaded. Try again later: it will not be changed.": the saved choice couldn't be read, the selector stays locked.
