Horn calls set the sequence to sound for each status (Seen, Wounded, Harvested) and the number of blasts for each species, or even for each tag type. You set them on the hunting ground, and you can customise them for a specific hunt.
The hunting ground's horn calls are set by its administrator or manager, or by a member with the **Manage horn calls** permission. A hunt's horn calls are set by its organiser, by the hunting ground's administrator or manager, or by a member with the **Edit all events** permission.
## On mobile
### Setting the hunting ground's horn calls
1. Open the hunting ground, "Activities" section, tap **Horn calls**.
2. In "Sequences to sound", build each status with the **Blasts** and **Rigodon** elements. The number on an element gives its position, the double arrow reverses the order, and **No horn call** empties the sequence.
3. In "Number of blasts per species", set the counter from 1 to 9, or tap **+ enable** for a silent species. The cross to the right of the counter turns off the species' horn call.
4. Under a species that has a horn call, a row appears for each tag type in the hunting ground's plan for the season shown (for example "CEM1", or "Hind, Calf"). Tap **Set separately** to give it its own number of blasts, or **Follow the species** to undo this. At 0, the row shows "No horn call".
5. Tap **Save changes**. The message "The horn calls have been updated." confirms it.
### Setting a hunt's horn calls
1. Open the hunt, tap **Manage**, then **Horn calls** in the "Safety & communication" section. This entry only exists for a hunt linked to a hunting ground.
2. Turn on **Customise for this hunt**: the hunting ground's settings are copied, and you can then change them here.
3. Change the sequences and the blasts per species or per tag type, then tap **Save**.
### Going back to the hunting ground's horn calls for a hunt
1. Open the hunt, tap **Manage**, then **Horn calls** in the "Safety & communication" section.
2. Tap **Go back to the hunting ground's horn calls**, or turn off the **Customise for this hunt** switch.
3. Tap **Save**.
### Viewing a hunt's horn calls
1. Open the hunt, **Information** tab.
2. In the "Organisation" section, tap **Horn calls**.
The sheet shows the sequences for the three statuses and the blasts for each species in the day's plan. It only appears if at least one species has a horn call.
## On the web
### Setting the hunting ground's horn calls
1. Open the hunting ground, then click **Harvest plan & tags** in the menu.
2. In the "Sequences to sound" card, build each status with **Blasts for the species** and **Rigodon**. The double arrow reverses the order, and **No horn call** empties the sequence.
3. For the number of blasts, click the species in the table. Its page has a "Horn call" card with a counter from 0 to 9 and the **No horn call for this species** button.
4. In the "Horn calls by tag type" block on that page, click **Set separately** so that a type sounds differently from its species, or **Follow the species** to undo this.
Each change is saved right away, so there is no save button.
### Setting a hunt's horn calls
1. Open the hunt, **Harvest plan** tab, "Horn calls" card.
2. Click **Customise for this hunt**: the hunting ground's settings are copied.
3. Set the sequences, the blasts per species (enter the number, from 0 to 9, then confirm with Enter or by leaving the field), and if needed **Set separately** for a tag type.
4. Click **Finish** to stop editing, or **Edit** to start editing again.
Each change is saved right away, so there is no save button.
To start again from the hunting ground's horn calls, click **Go back to the hunting ground's horn calls**: the hunt's setting is deleted. **Save for the whole hunting ground…** makes these horn calls the hunting ground's once you confirm; the button appears if you manage the hunting ground's harvest plan, and saving also requires the permission for the hunting ground's horn calls.
### Viewing a hunt's horn calls
1. Click **My hunts** in the menu, then the hunt.
2. In the "Organisation" panel, click **Horn calls** to expand the details.
## The reminder after a report
### On mobile: the reminder during the live hunt
A Seen, Wounded or Harvested report shows a banner with the horn call to sound, for example "To sound: 3 blasts" or "To sound: rigodon + 2 blasts". Tap it to close it. It also disappears by itself after 8 seconds.
### On the web: the reminder after entering a result
1. Open the hunt, **Hunt results** tab.
2. Click **Enter results on the map**.
3. Click the map where the game is. The "Game details" window opens.
4. Choose the status, then click **Confirm**. The reminder "To sound: …" appears as a message.
The reminder follows the tag type chosen in the report; with no tag type, it is the species' horn call. Nothing appears for a missed shot or for a species with no horn call. This reminder is for guidance only: the decision to shoot remains the shooter's.
## Good to know
- With no settings at all, Seen sounds "Blasts", Wounded "Rigodon then Blasts", Harvested "Blasts then Rigodon", with 3 blasts for wild boar, 2 for roe deer and 4 for red deer.
- A customised hunt keeps its setting everywhere: live hunt, hunter page, map. If it isn't customised, the hunting ground's horn calls apply; if the hunting ground has set nothing, the default horn calls apply.
- The level of detail depends on your harvest plan: a "Red deer" line gives a single horn call for all red deer, while CEM1 and CEM2 lines allow two. A setting made on a tag code is kept from one season to the next as long as that code exists.
- A hunt created with **Duplicate the hunt** copies the customised horn calls of the original hunt.
- On the web, **Remove from the hunting ground** on a species page also turns off its horn call. On mobile, removing a species in the "Hunting ground species" sheet doesn't affect horn calls: turn it off with the cross on the hunting ground's **Horn calls** screen.
## If something goes wrong
- "I don't see Horn calls on the hunting ground page" (mobile): you don't have the **Manage horn calls** permission. Ask the administrator or manager for it.
- "I can't find the hunting ground's horn calls on the web": they are set in **Harvest plan & tags**; there is no **Horn calls** entry. If **Harvest plan & tags** is missing, ask the administrator or manager for the **Manage horn calls** permission.
- "I don't see Horn calls in Manage": the hunt isn't linked to any hunting ground, so its horn calls can't be set.
- "No tag type appears under my species": the hunting ground's harvest plan has no line for the season shown. On mobile, the screen follows the season chosen in the "Hunting season" sheet.
- "The species page shows a dash and "to set"": the species was added to the hunting ground and its number of blasts was never set.
- "The hunting ground's tag types couldn't be loaded." (web): horn call settings are blocked to avoid saving them on the wrong type. Reload the page.
- "Couldn't load this hunt's horn calls." (web): saving is turned off so existing settings aren't overwritten. Reload the page.
