Set the PMR 446 radio channels for your hunting ground or for a hunt so that all participants tune their walkie-talkies to the right channel.
The hunting ground's radios are set by its administrator or manager, or by a member with the **Manage radios** permission. A hunt's radios are set by its organiser, by the hunting ground's administrator or manager, or by a member with the **Edit all events** permission.
## On mobile
### The hunting ground's radios
1. **Hunting grounds** tab, open the hunting ground, "Activities" section, tap **Radios**.
2. Tap **+** at the top right. A new numbered "Radio" card appears.
3. Fill in the **Channel name** (for example General, Teams, Emergency) and the **PMR channel / frequency** (for example Channel 8, or 446.09375 MHz).
4. Tap **+** again for each extra radio. The cross at the top of a card removes it.
5. Tap **Save**. The message "The default radio channels have been updated." confirms it.
### A hunt's radios

2. Tap **+** at the top right, then fill in the **Channel name** and the **PMR channel / frequency**.
3. Tap **Save**.
The **?** at the top of the screen explains what radios are for and where participants can find them.

## Good to know
- A hunt created on a hunting ground, on mobile or on the web, copies the hunting ground's radios. You can then change or remove them in the hunt without affecting the hunting ground's.
- This copy only happens at creation. Changing the hunting ground's radios after a hunt is created doesn't change that hunt's, and a hunt created before the hunting ground had radios didn't get any.
- An immediate hunt has no hunting ground: no radios are carried over. A hunt created with **Duplicate the hunt** copies the radios of the original hunt, not the hunting ground's.
- The hunting ground's radios are also the fallback: when a hunt has no radios of its own, they are the ones shown in the live hunt and on the hunt page on the web.
- A radio with no name and no channel isn't kept when you save.
- The hunting ground's **Radios** entry only appears to people allowed to manage them.
## If something goes wrong
- "I don't see Radios in my hunting ground": you don't have the **Manage radios** permission. Ask the hunting ground's administrator or manager for it.
- "Participants don't see the radios": check that you did tap or click **Save**, and that at least one of the two fields is filled in.
- "My hunt didn't copy the hunting ground's radios": the hunt was created before the hunting ground had radios, or it is an immediate hunt. Add them in the hunt.
- "Unable to load the radios." (mobile): the hunting ground page couldn't read the radios. Tap **Try again**.
